Welcome to Animal Crossing! Population: growing up!

Anyone who has played Nintendo's quirky yet awesome GameCube game Animal Crossing may or may not recognize these characters. Since the characters in that game look extremely cartoony and 'kiddy', I thought it would be interesting to give them a more 'mature' style. =P They were done in pencil, then inked over, then coloured in pencil crayon. No Photoshop was used here.

Clockwise from top-left: Animal Crossing guy, Animal Crossing girl (do those two playable characters even have real names?), Tom Nook, Totakeke/K. K. Slider, Mr. Resetti. I trust that they look a bit...different than the lovable runts from the actual game. =P Oh, and while I'm in the mood, here's another Animal Crossing-related thing:

Interesting but a bit scary. You made K.K. Slider look so evil! Haha. Even though it's more limited in some ways....I actually prefer the first/original game because it's not on a handheld system. I am probably still going to get ACWW someday but I already dislike it a bit due to the fact that it was released on a handheld system. I'm disappointed that the creators didn't release the sequel on a non-handheld system. I don't have DS or wii and really I prefer something like playstation or xbox over a handheld system. I don't have a playstation 3 or anything but I still have a gamecube and I have Playstation 2 and an XBOX 360...I'm hoping that they're going to release an AC title for the XBOX 360....since it's unlikely they'll release another AC game for the gamecube.
